Best Features:
I have several different tuggies from Tug-tastic and they are all faring well with all of my
dogs, even the one who likes to chew. She doesn’t seem to with these!
We use them for our agility rewards for our collies currently
training. The longer ones are handy for dogs that like to grab the toy. It has saved our hands
from a few more marks! They have plenty of give which means there is less jarring of the
handlers arms and shoulders and the dog's neck.
For our young pup, we use the Pocket tugs as we can take them
about so easily. These have been ideal for my young pup as her training toy, as they are made
from the soft fleece and won't hurt her teeth.
And
best of all, they can be washed in the machine when grubby, too!
Could be better:
The only thing I can find is that the
Pocket Tug doesn’t throw very well as it is very light. All the others do.
Take care. The tuggies should not be left alone with your dog as
they could be chewed.
Production:
The fleece is stretchy which means
more comfortable tugging for you, and it is soft on the dogs mouth. Available in a range of
colours, the main ones being red, orange, yellow, lime green,
royal, navy, black, purple and hyacinth blue.
Can be made into club colours for
prizes for agility and obedience competitions.
Occasional bespoke orders can be done incorporating a favourite
toy in the plaiting, or plaiting with multiple threads to make the tuggies extra thick.
Value for Money:
9.5 /10 very
good.
Price:
Start from £2.00 inc p&p for Pocket
Tuggies (£1.50 at shows)

About
Tug-tastic Toys
Lisa Adamson and Jackie Smith
started to manufacture these fleecy tugs for their own dogs, and then for friends and their
dogs at their training club. Soon, they were being asked to make them for others
and hence our range and colours have developed. It is more a hobby than a business for
them.
Many top level handlers are now using these tugs, but obviously
it would be inappropriate to print names. Just look round the rings at shows and see for
yourself who's using them!
