Now a word about those nice people who bring you this site.

This site is by, for and about you and your dogs, but if you are interested in the people behind the scenes, who make it tick and who decide what goes where, here's a short summary of who we are.

Ellen Rocco

The Web Mistress & her dogs
Responsibility: The original concept, content, editorial, information gathering, database maintenance, marketing, new ideas.

Ellen is an independent directory and database consultant. She is best known as the founder of The Creative Handbook, one of the most innovative and best known directories in the UK.

She launched Agilitynet after a casual conversation with Kevin McNicol, while waiting in the queue at Trent Park. Who me? I couldn't do a web site. I don't know a thing about the Internet and I am only a Starter handler. And since then, she's not looked back!

Ellen started competing with Standard Poodles, but has recently rescued a collie and long legged JRT X  that she is training. She's been told they're good schoolmasters.

Currently a club instructor at Watford Agility Club, she also trains at Penniwells and Soxon Agility.

Ellen lives in North London, in the shadow of the Arsenal football grounds with her husband and two grown up daughters (when they are there), six dogs (see below) and a cat.

John Leslie

The Schedule Master & Technical Bod
Responsibility: Schedules and day-to-day maintenance

John is a former financial journalist turned computer and database consultant. He got involved with Agilitynet in self-defence as he is married to Ellen Rocco. If you can't beat them, join them.

He is currently Schedule Master and troubleshooter.

He runs two large Standard Poodles called Bill and Beau and trains at Trent Park and Watford where he  is an instructor. He is Treasurer of TPDAC and will be Show Secretary for the club this year.

John also sings in the Islington Choral Society and enjoys concerts when they don't compete with his agility. He is currently Chair of the group.
